A visit to the bierkasteel brewery

Tour at the most modern brewery in Europe

To celebrate the new year with all of our colleagues and wish everyone our best wishes for 2019, of course we had to find a special setting. That’s why we all got together in Izegem, at the Bierkasteel brewery, for a guided tour followed by a group dinner.

The tour started with a video showing the old brewery buildings and the building of the brand new, completely modernized and much bigger brewery. Our enthusiastic guide explained why and how everything was rebuilt and then took the group around the entire brewery. We were guided throughout the entire process of how their several brands of beers are brewed, matured and ripened, bottled, and shipped all over the world. At the end of the tour we were able to try some of their delicious and exclusive beer chocolates in the gift shop, and everyone got to choose one big bottle of one of the Bierkasteel’s most popular beers to take home.

But our day together did not end there. After the tour, we were seated in their beautiful restaurant (that featured an original Gustave Eiffel mantelpiece) to enjoy some of their beers and then a wonderful dinner.

In conclusion, we had another great event among colleagues, where everybody was able to catch up and have a good time while enjoying a very interesting tour and a delicious dinner.
