During Robin Verstraelen’s work as a Solutions Architect at the world’s biggest cloud provider (AWS), he realized that companies of all sizes are struggling to get a grasp on their security posture. While trying to solve this problem at Wiz, now the fastest growing software security company ever, Robin got an opportunity to look behind the scenes of some of the biggest cloud spenders in the world and he discovered something else: cloud bills are way bigger than they should be.

In October 2023, Robin teamed up with Muhammad Akram (also ex-AWS) to start CloudPhilos: a software-accelerated AWS consulting company to help cloud consumers solve both problems: reduce their cloud spend and security risk
